“Summertime is always the best of what might be.” -Charles Bowden It’s officially feels like summer! I decided this summer I’m giving myself a bucket list. There is always so much I want to do and see during the fleeting summer months. I figured if I wrote it down and shared it this will help hold me accountable. Right? Pajama Sunday | Summer Travels

Let it be Sunday!  I hope you are savoring this last month of summer. There hasn’t been a dull moment for me. As for the “white space” I talked about at the beginning of the season continues to be filled with spontaneous trips and visits with friends. Last week I was in Southampton. Of course you know the first thing on my list is: TO GO SHOPPING. Oh wait, we actually stopped at Duck Walk Vineyard (shown above) first. We had a great time wine tasting and my personal favorite was their 2015 Sauvignon Blanc. After the winery we bee-lined… Continue Reading »

Pajama Sunday | Relax, Refresh, REPEAT

Pajama Sunday | Relax, Refresh, REPEAT

Summertime, and the livin’ is easy… Happy Pajama Sunday, everyone! It’s been quite the summer so far and needless to say I am following the advice mentioned in the title of this post. Relax, refresh and repeat. Back in the dark winter months a dear friend suggested we take a tropical vacation. I thought to myself; it has been a while since I have traveled for pleasure. Well, I take that back – even when I’m traveling for work or to visit family & friends I take pleasure in it. What I mean is I could not remember the last… Continue Reading »

Tomorrow is the biggest travel day of the year, Thanksgiving Eve. I am bracing myself as we speak. Regardless of the holiday craze and crowds we will endure there is NO excuse for sacrificing style or comfort while traveling. Before you jet off I wanted to share are my suggestions on how to stay comfortable while traveling. Pick comfortable footwear Start with your shoes. I swear by Cole Haan’s ZEROGRAND shown below. They look like a classy pair of oxfords, but are comfortable like sneakers and extremely lightweight. I get lots of compliments on them (and no, this is not a Cole Haan… Continue Reading »

What to Wear in Paris in the Summer

What to Wear in Paris in the Summer

Recently I was asked what to wear in Paris during the summer. Let me start off by saying there is no one way of dressing Parisian. The one rule of Parisian style is respect thy self, which means treat yourself with the utmost respect by dressing in a way that best represents yourself. The French are not really into trends unless they look good on them. While packing for your trip think about what summer looks you have and if they truly represent your best self.  A few style tips to keep in mind while packing for your trip – Leave the flip flops… Continue Reading »

Adventures in Paris | Design Inspiration

Adventures in Paris | Design Inspiration

As you know by now I am obsessed with Parisian culture. When it comes to living chic they seem to do everything right. The photo above is from my hotel window. I was so excited when I saw a flower box filled with luscious greens inside.  Ever since I moved to NYC I have been meaning to add flower boxes to my windows. My venture to Paris definitely inspired me to finally take action. Every where I turned there were flower boxes! The architecture is truly amazing and I couldn’t help but constantly look up while I was walking around…. Continue Reading »

Adventures in Paris | Eats & Treats

Adventures in Paris | Eats & Treats

Of course no trip to Paris is complete until you visit the legendary Laduree. I literally could stare at these gorgeous pastry for hours as if it is a piece of art. It must be the colors.  Inside the shop there is a small boutique where you can buy beauty and home products in the legendary flavors. Heaven! Cafe de Flore is definitely the place to dine and people watch.  Again, it was recommended by Ines de Fressange in Parisian Chic and my friend Julia Coney.  Being on vacation I had no scheduled agenda (on purpose) so I would lunch… Continue Reading »
