Pajama Sunday | Relax, Refresh, REPEAT

Pajama Sunday | Relax, Refresh, REPEAT

Summertime, and the livin’ is easy… Happy Pajama Sunday, everyone! It’s been quite the summer so far and needless to say I am following the advice mentioned in the title of this post. Relax, refresh and repeat. Back in the dark winter months a dear friend suggested we take a tropical vacation. I thought to myself; it has been a while since I have traveled for pleasure. Well, I take that back – even when I’m traveling for work or to visit family & friends I take pleasure in it. What I mean is I could not remember the last… Continue Reading »

Pajama Sunday | Springing Ahead

Pajama Sunday | Springing Ahead

Let it be Sunday!  It has been awhile since I wrote a Pajama Sunday post, hasn’t it? March turned out to be an eventful month. I am happy to be lounging in my bathrobe enjoying a cup of Earl Grey tea while listening to French Cafe music on Pandora. I have nothing on the agenda today (well, not a lot). Last Sunday, close friends and I celebrated their daughter’s 1st birthday at Alice’s Tea Cup on the Upper East Side. As I’m sure you can tell from the Mimosas shown above Alice’s Tea Cup is adult AND kid-friendly. From the mismatched vintage… Continue Reading »

Pajama Sunday | Happy, Happy New Year!

Pajama Sunday | Happy, Happy New Year!

Ohh, hello 2017! 365 new days, 365 new chances. New beginnings always excite me. It’s another chance to do as I like to say “get it together”.  As the saying goes, “fall down seven times, get up eight”. Whether it’s a new season or calendar year I love the excuse a new beginning brings to challenge myself or change things up a bit. Are you setting any resolutions for yourself this year? My resolution for 2017 is to read more books. Those who know me know I am an avid reader to begin with, but I want to get into the habit of… Continue Reading »

Pajama Sunday | Grateful

Pajama Sunday | Grateful

“The days are long, but the years are short…” Can you believe we are approaching the end of another year?! I feel like it was yesterday that I was learning how to surf, yet here I am putting up my Christmas tree. This time of year is always a reflective time for me. On my walks around Central Park I have been trying to be more conscious of appreciating the little things during this Sunday morning ritual. Usually I am plowing through the park with my headphones on listening to a podcast making my way to my favorite coffee shop… Continue Reading »

Pajama Sunday | Love Always Wins

Pajama Sunday | Love Always Wins

Phew, what a week! Needless to say there are all sorts of emotions happening across the United States right now. I must say I was in shock when I woke up on Wednesday. Complete shock. This blog is by no means a platform for delving into my political views and I respect those of others, but I must say what got me through this past week was seeing people speak up for what is fair and what is right. It gives me hope that for the next four years we will all look out for each other. Love always wins. This week marked… Continue Reading »

Pajama Sunday | Being Picky

Pajama Sunday | Being Picky

“Be picky with your clothes, friends and time.” I came across this quote and thought it was a brilliant mantra. Do you feel like you are always trying to find a way to squeeze everything and everyone in? As I get older I realize this is impossible. I have learned that it is OK to say ‘no’ or to pass because you just don’t have the time. And it’s funny how this applies to our wardrobes as well. Be picky with what you buy or choose to add to your closet. How you dress is how you present yourself to the… Continue Reading »

Pajama Sunday | Bucket List

Pajama Sunday | Bucket List

“I’ve got that summertime, summertime sadness”  -Lana Del Ray (remember this song from last summer? ha!) Why does the summer always go by so fast? I was able to relish it the last two weeks in August with time spent in New England. Also, I was able to cross off a major Bucket List goal. Thanks to my good friend Adam I finally learned how to surf. We went surfing a couple of times in Newport, RI at sunset. It was surreal. A little nerve racking at first…yes, I had thoughts of sharks and what not…but there is nothing more thrilling than… Continue Reading »

Adventures in Paris | Design Inspiration

Adventures in Paris | Design Inspiration

As you know by now I am obsessed with Parisian culture. When it comes to living chic they seem to do everything right. The photo above is from my hotel window. I was so excited when I saw a flower box filled with luscious greens inside.  Ever since I moved to NYC I have been meaning to add flower boxes to my windows. My venture to Paris definitely inspired me to finally take action. Every where I turned there were flower boxes! The architecture is truly amazing and I couldn’t help but constantly look up while I was walking around…. Continue Reading »

Adventures in Paris | Eats & Treats

Adventures in Paris | Eats & Treats

Of course no trip to Paris is complete until you visit the legendary Laduree. I literally could stare at these gorgeous pastry for hours as if it is a piece of art. It must be the colors.  Inside the shop there is a small boutique where you can buy beauty and home products in the legendary flavors. Heaven! Cafe de Flore is definitely the place to dine and people watch.  Again, it was recommended by Ines de Fressange in Parisian Chic and my friend Julia Coney.  Being on vacation I had no scheduled agenda (on purpose) so I would lunch… Continue Reading »

Adventures in Paris | Hotel 7 Eiffel

Adventures in Paris | Hotel 7 Eiffel

Not only did I fall in love with Paris, but I also fell in love with Hotel 7 Eiffel.  I found this hotel through Girl’s Guide To Paris. This boutique hotel is totally right up my alley. The design screams modern and chic. The minute my cab driver pulled up to the hotel I truly felt like I was living in a fairy tale. Check out the glam lobby and bar & dining area…   And my room…   Last but not least, the rooftop and postcard-like view… Hotel 7 Eiffel17 bis rue Amélie75007 Paris, France01 45 55 10 01
