Summertime, and the livin’ is easy…
Happy Pajama Sunday, everyone! It’s been quite the summer so far and needless to say I am following the advice mentioned in the title of this post. Relax, refresh and repeat. Back in the dark winter months a dear friend suggested we take a tropical vacation. I thought to myself; it has been a while since I have traveled for pleasure. Well, I take that back – even when I’m traveling for work or to visit family & friends I take pleasure in it. What I mean is I could not remember the last time I took a vacation to do absolutely nothing but relax. After we booked the trip in February I counted down the days that I would have nothing scheduled but to read a book by the pool or on the beach.
The trip was exactly what I needed. I didn’t realize how over scheduled I have been until I was relaxed and on “island time”. After arriving back in New York relaxed and refreshed I was glad to see that I left myself some white space on my calendar this summer. I hope you are leaving a bit of white space on your summer calendar to relax, refresh and REPEAT. If not, I highly recommend it.
Here are few other things I recommend…
Brene Brown’s book Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love Parent and Lead. This book has been on my list to read forever! I am so glad I got the chance to finally read it. Highly recommend it.
