StyleWeek Providence happens twice a year; August and January. It was to my delight to find out they were showing the Spring 2013 collections while I was in town last month. Being a New England native I was excited to see what these local designers had to offer. I must say I was really impressed and came away with a few favorites.
Hope MacDonald Spring 2013 consisted of gorgeous floral prints in stunning pieces. The collection was styled to PERFECTION. The mix-and-match look is here to stay, by the way. Not only could you incorporate her pieces into your wardrobe separately or together but they also would look fantastic in an editorial spread. Below are two more of my favorite looks (and models) from the collection.
Sarah Prost Spring 2013 consisted of feminine dresses with beautiful button detailing down the sides and lace accents on the collar and backside. Perfect attire for spring weddings and other celebrations. I loved the off-white and lemon yellow she used in other pieces as well.
Best Presentation goes to Jonathan Joseph Peters Spring 2013. You can tell by the audience’s reaction that everyone was enjoying the show. The music, styling and sassy models definitely represented this eccentric collection. I loved the color palette which consisted of turquoise and orange hues with gold accents. Fun, vibrant and vivacious. It’s no mistake they choose his show to closeout StyleWeek with.
